Tough Box
VÖLKL has created a new core construction process for their new freeski telemarks models – the TOUGH BOX. In this construction method, each wooden core is given extra strength by a 4 x 4 FIBERWARP covering. In order to obtain maximum load in all directions, several layers of thin and highly durable fibreglass bands are wrapped around the core in a cross pattern. This construction allows the binding screws to be anchored even more securely into the skis and guarantee a firm hold even under extreme conditions.
