Experiencing nature, getting a workout, alpine adventure or chasing untracked powder – there are many reasons why touring is pure enjoyment and offers more unique experience than any other type of skiing.
All in all, longer and wider skis with a lot of flotation are best for bigger turns and more speed in deep powder. Shorter, narrower skis score best with easy uphill capabilities and a wide range of use, even in steep and variable conditions where very tight turns and solid edge grip are needed. No matter what your goals are, we provide the perfect match for your best individual touring experience.
SKI Mountaineering
You always aim for the very top where you rather need a climbing rope but no heavy equipment. That´s why you demand a light ski with best possible hiking and riding control. And if a wide range of use is just as important to you as light weight and easy handling, you should go for the new RISE HIGH 88 or RISE ABOVE 88. Both are ideal tools with a perfect balance of up- and downhill performance.
Freeride Ski Touring
Your focus is mainly touring for powder runs and untouched backcountry terrain? Snow is your fifth element? You love extremely long, fast turns? Still, there are so many places to be reached that you want to hike even further? When downhill performance is more important on a wider ski that will give you great flotation, the RISE BEYOND 98, BMT 90 or BMT 109 are all great choices. They deliver more powder performance than any of our other touring skis and it’s all high fives when you get to the bottom.
Skiing and skiing out of controlled areas is inherently dangerous. That skiers should have the appropriate equipment and training to participate.
