Sensational result at the Ski alpine World Cup: 17 year old Alice Robinson claims silver!
Alice Robinson showed an impressive performance placing 2nd at the World Cup finals in Soldeu, Andorra and secured her career first World Cup podium.
After a super strong 17th rank at the World Championships in Are and winning the junior World Cup the young New Zealand racer from Queenstown now crushed it all!
Robinson was just 0,3 seconds behind the winner Mikaela Shiffrin. MDV collegue Mina Fürst Holtmann also showed a solid Performance an placed 10th.
“She has no fear of speed,” Robinson's head coach Tim Cafe said.“But she’s learnt a lot more risk management this year. Not that she holds back, but her finish rate is is much more consistent than last year. It was important for her to figure that out.(…) At the worlds she demonstrated she was able to keep her composure. Winning that second run was a crazy good achievement. There’s no question she’s got what it takes to get to the top.”
Robinson is now turning back to New Zealand focusing on her studies in High School. „I am a bit sad that the season is already over, but I’m already so pumped and motivated to do it all again soon!“ she states on her Instagram account.
