Aiace Bazzana - Through my magic bowl I see my future more more as a freerider...

I am Aiace Bazzana, and i am from Italy, exactly from Courmayeur which is located on the footsteps of Mont Blanc. My career begins when my father, a skiing instructor, first put a pair of skis on my feet, from that moment I understood that nothing could stop me....I was so excited everytime i went to the slopes, to the point that my father had to put me in the car with the skis already on my feet...!

At the age of 4 I made the Courmayeur Ski Club, where i began my ski race history...when I turned 14 I was accepted in the regional ski squad of Valle d’Aosta, through which I achieved some very good results, especially in the faster disciplines. This race career continues a few years only to come to an end as I had my instructorship colors. At this point bored of the old way of approaching and teaching skiing, I decided along with some other friends to open a new skiing and snowboarding school” Scuala Ski&Snowboard Courmayeur”, following the creed of divulgating a new approach to skiing and snowboarding, blending old approach to race and standard skiing along with the new freestyle and freeride techniques. By doing so we gave a new point of view to the local people and everyone interested. In the same period in Italy the new wave of Freestyle spreads, and thanks to this I start knowing people with my same interests, “Freestyle and joy in doing IT”

At the present moment after years as a freestyler I started to move more and more toward the freeriding scene, partly driven by a more deep understanding of the mountain as a whole, rather than just parks and spots.... Through my magic bowl I see my future more more as a freerider, that is why in the upcoming season I intend to concentrate my filming shooting and riding, in deep powder, never forgetting my freestyle heart...

In powder

Can you tell us a little about each pair of skis, and about what sort of conditions you use them for?

The Wall it’s awesome for the park, light and reactive, it’s my favorite park ski model.

The Bridge is quiver killer, they can carve on the slope and float in powder. The right balance when you don’ t know the conditions.

Chop stick is simply the best ski i ever had, carving in switch in one meter of fresh powder snow.

Marker Jester for park and Jester Schizo for powder.
